To retrieve your NIN without your phone number, you’ll need to visit a NIMC enrollment center in person. You’ll need to provide valid identification documents like a driver’s license, passport, or voter’s card to verify your identity. The NIMC official will then retrieve your NIN from their database

In The Life Changer by Khadija Abubakar Jalli, Ummi emphasizes on the learning of language among her children to a great degree. In her opinion, the most critical step that they need to master in order to succeed at school and develop, in general, is the English language. Filling in her roles of being a mother and a narrator in the novel, she urges her children to use the right language, which is English; and the importance of good communication skills on their future.

Ummi does not only view language as a means of getting through exams, but as a permit to elation, improved articulation and assimilation into a larger, competitive society. Such attitude can be described as the wider social significance that English knowledge has in Nigerian society, in the wider sense of education and employment.

The Life Changer by Khadija Abubakar Jalli, the protagonist, Omar, received admission to join Ahmadu Bello University and which was a great milestone and a great aspect of happiness to his family.

Omar was 18 years old at the time, and he had done well in school without bending the rules to cheat in his studies as he had achieved 7 credits in his Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) and had scored 230 in his Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

He had been admitted to study Law in the Kongo Campus of the university, and this brought a proud moment to the Ahmed family, more so the mother, Ummi, who had wanted to follow Law but, due to one or another reason, had to complete a degree in Accounting instead.

The family was thrilled about the success of Omar. His sisters Teemah, Jamila and Bint were excited by this news and the family could not wait to hear the good news along with Mr. Esquire.

Ummi especially found this an occasion to teach her children some good life lessons, that getting to university and into university is not just a school event, it is life, and one needs to be mature, responsible, and need to follow some moral values

Through the Ummi method of teaching, it is clear to say that a good teacher must be patient, gentle and committed particularly when passing knowledge to the young learners. It emphasizes that the need is not to develop a fear-based and depressing attitude to learning but to develop a positive and engaging learning environment where a student feels comfortable and inspired to learn. The approach also emphasizes the importance of a teacher in giving clear and correct pronunciation especially in the case of learning the Quran and in rectification of the faults of the students with kindness.

In The Life Changer, Ummi (the main character) also has four children namely: Omar, Teemah, Jamilah and Bint. Personalities of every child differ and are an expression of his/her age and status in the family.

The eldest is a teenage boy Omar just admitted to the university and thus the center of pride and enthusiasm of the whole family at the beginning of the novel. Teemah is snarky and inquisitive, whereas, Jamilah is more introverted. Bint is the youngest and she is bright and her teacher regards her intellect also admires her swiftness of thinking and confidence in the scene where they open up the seven-day novel.

The relationships of the kids of Ummi indicate a very close interconnected family that has mutual respect and a sense of humor. The brother and sister are always full of joy, teasing one another and arguing, sharing stories, which once again outlines a healthy and communicative family.

They are different in age and personality, but they can listen to each other as well as to the mother, demonstrating the balance in love, respect, and curiosity. This gives life to life lessons that Ummi gives them through her storytelling, not only to entertain them, but to educate them about the world and prepare them to face life, especially when Omar moves to the university stage.

The life changer novel written by Khadija Abubakar Jalli shows clearly how the major theme of change and transformation can be displayed through the characters, setting, as well as the life experiences of a person, particularly concerning the aspect of university life and personal development. Even the title indicates that life is in constant motion and that some choices or events can heavily change the direction of a person.

    1. Movement to a New Stage of Life
The transitional moment is the most direct one; it is the transition form high school to university, so that we can think of Omar and Salma. The process of entering university actually stages the first step to another life, Omar is full of opportunities and on the other hand responsibilities. This is the point that the whole story is triggered by as Ummi starts thinking how education can become a kind of life changer when treated well.

    2. Self-Realization, Personal Growth
Other characters in the novel undergo personal transformations: some are better and some are worse. For instance:

Salma goes through numerous turning points as she is the one to reap the fruits of her actions. Her pride and lack of judgment end up showing her regrets, and that way, experiences can give people self-realization and improvement.

Ummi in her accounts looks back at her transition of being a student in university to being a mother, and how it is maturity, experience and being a mother have molded her.

    3. Transformation of Moral and Social
The novel demonstrates the way university can change behavior, values, and identity of people. There are some who change in a positive way learning to be self-sufficient and take charge. Others go into bad habits like cultism, cheating and fraud and this depicts that change without strong principles can bring about downfall in morals.

    4. Education as a Change Agent
Education has been displayed as a strong instrument of change and especially for women. The plot demonstrates the possibility of learning to make decisions and challenge conventions, and pursue a better life, through the voices of such characters as Ummi and Salma.
