The transitional moment is the most direct one; it is the transition form high school to university, so that we can think of Omar and Salma. The process of entering university actually stages the first step to another life, Omar is full of opportunities and on the other hand responsibilities. This is the point that the whole story is triggered by as Ummi starts thinking how education can become a kind of life changer when treated well.
2. Self-Realization, Personal Growth
Other characters in the novel undergo personal transformations: some are better and some are worse. For instance:
Salma goes through numerous turning points as she is the one to reap the fruits of her actions. Her pride and lack of judgment end up showing her regrets, and that way, experiences can give people self-realization and improvement.
