    Step 1: General formula of a G.P.

    The general term of a G.P. is:

    Tn=arn−1Tn=arn−1

    Where:

    • aa = first term

    • rr = common ratio

    • TnTn = nth term.

    ep 2: Use given terms

    • 2nd term: ar=6ar=6 → (1)

    • 5th term: ar4=48ar4=48 → (2)

    Divide (2) by (1):

    ar4ar=486⇒r3=8⇒r=2arar4=648⇒r3=8⇒r=2

    Now substitute r=2r=2 into equation (1):

    a(2)=6⇒a=3a(2)=6⇒a=3

    Step 3: Find the first four terms

    Using a=3a=3, r=2r=2:

    • 1st term: a=3a=3

    • 2nd term: ar=6ar=6

    • 3rd term: ar2=12ar2=12

    • 4th term: ar3=24ar3=24

    Step 4: Sum the first four terms

    S=3+6+12+24=45S=3+6+12+24=45

    ✅ Final Answer:

    4545

    To calculate the UNN (University of Nigeria, Nsukka) Post-UTME aggregate score, you must combine your UTME (Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination) score, O'Level results, and Post-UTME score. To calculate the UNN (University of Nigeria, Nsukka) Post-UTME aggregate score, you must combine your UTME (Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination) score, O’Level results, and Post-UTME score. UNN typically uses a weighted average, where UTME and Post-UTME each contribute a percentage, and O’Level results also contribute a smaller percentage.

    The Procedure To Calculate UNN Aggregate Score
    Take your JAMB mark out of 8
    Break down your Post-UTME into half
    Combine the two scores obtained as a result of division
    This will be your UNN cumulative score
    The formula is this:
    Aggregate Score = [JAMB Score / 8] + [Post-UTME Score / 2]
    Important: UNN will consider 50 percent of what you scored in UTME and 50 percent of your Post UTME. Equally so important

    For Example
    Imagine you had scored:

    JAMB: 240
    Post-UTME mark: 60
    Calculation:
    JAMB: 240 / 8 = 30
    Post-UTME: 60/2 =30
    Aggregate Score = 30 30 = 60
    This implies that your total score is 60 percent.
